Many organisations are supportive of the idea of diversity but lack awareness of how to achieve it. Worse still this can lead to litigation and general poor staff or customer relations. SRA are working in confidence with a wide variety of clients to audit current practice including the record of those from whom external services are obtained. In several cases costly legislation has been avoided.
As part of the work on diversity SRA have trialled and developed workshop materials for impact assessment which have now been widely used by government departments and local authorities to motivate staff throughout organisations.
SRA are currently writing equality strategies and supporting the subsequent implementation process for a number of large organisations and companies. Auditing, monitoring, analysing and improvements are set up as essential steps in providing evidence of the value of this work to both staff and external clients or customers.
